'My Christmas Tree' Competition 2008

Catsfield Christmas Tree Farm held a Childrens painting Competition 'MY CHRISTMAS TREE' prior to the festivities with prizes in three categories 4-7, 8-10 and 11-14.

Tom Hammick, local painter, selected the prize winners and gave special commendations to other childrens artwork. Tom presented the awards at the prize giving event on the 3rd January 2009 at the Educational Centre at the farm, with parents and children gathering together to create a large-scale concrete and tarmac chalk drawing, followed by hot chocolate and rock cakes.

Clive Collins of Catsfield Christmas Tree Farm said ''I would like to thank everyone that participated, expecially those from the Acorn Childrens Centre in Bexhill-on-Sea. I know, from the quality of work in general, that everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves!''. Clive and Tom were very pleased that so many young people participated in this years competition and that, due to the enthusiasm shown by parents, schools and the children, Catsfield Christmas Tree Farm will continue to hold another event in 2009.
